Week 31

Elder Sky didn't have a chance to send a group email this week but here's a bit of one he sent me.

Mom-
My week has been great. It's nice to teach a lot in Spanish. A lot of our investigators speak English too so we just teach them in English but we have a lot of investigators that speak zero English so it's fun. Church was weird because the branch is small and not many showed up to church Sunday so the chapel was like empty and then it was all in Spanish it was cool. I was just super lost and confused in Sunday school and priesthood haha.
Elder Radman is cool. We have a pretty nice apartment. We have our own washer and dryer so that's nice. But Anyways we stay mostly in Wichita so it's all city area we are pretty much in. But this week was cool. It's so different here. All the missionaries I am serving around I don't know at all so it's all new to me. But I like it so far.  That's so awesome that Tommy was baptized I love the pics you sent. He makes me proud.  That's not good to hear about grandpa. I'll be praying for him. Hopefully he gets feeling better. Last week Reggie emailed me and said she was in Indonesia and I was like what? Here's some pics from my week. Love you tons!

Transfer Week 30

Transfers are this week on Wednesday. And I'm getting transferred to Kellogg which is a branch in or around Wichita(I think)and what I've been told is that it's a Spanish branch. I don't know much about the area and where it's really at. My companion will be Elder Radman. I'm pretty excited to have more Spanish speaking opportunities. I'll miss being comps with Elder Colemere though. Salina is a weird place and I would never
ever live there but I have had so many amazing experiences here that I'll never forget and I'll be a little sad leaving. But I'm really excited to be in a Spanish area that actually has Spanish. It will be fun. I don't know my comp or anyone in the whole zone except for Elder Flores. So it will be fun seeing him again at zone trainings and conferences. Kansas has been really hot this week. Sunday it got up to 90! It was weird. But I'm not complaining.

Week 29

What's up everyone??

This week was such an awesome week. We had interviews with the Mission President and and Zone Conference this week. So I learned a ton from those. But this week we also met a ton of awesome people that are really interested in learning about the gospel.
Tuesday we were walking down the street and a member family pulled up to us in their car and talked to us and introduced us to their friend Issac. They probably were just going to say hi to us but then one of them asked for a blessing. We drove over to their house and gave the blessing and then were able to teach Issac a little bit. Then later in the week we gave Issac a tour of the church. And that was awesome he really opened up to us and we had a spiritual lesson with him. He gladly came to all three hours of church Sunday.
We have really been trying and praying hard to find opportunities to speak Spanish. We met Ariana. We talked to her outside her trailer. She spoke English. As we talked and testified about the Book of Mormon and it's importance she said "I would love for you guys to come back and to share this with my family but my mom only speaks Spanish" We are really looking forward to that appointment. And we found another Spanish family Sunday night. So everything is going great!
This week we were able to give a ton of blessings. It's so amazing to see so many miracles coming from the priesthood power. I have seen so many blessings and miracles from priesthood on my mission. I know it's true and that it is truly the power of God!

Week 28

So this week was good. This one might be a little short though. So this week I went on exchanges twice. I love going on  exchanges and learning for other missionaries. Both days of exchanges I was able to have some sweet experiences with speaking Spanish. The elders I exchanged with (Elder Humphrey and Clifford) are both English Elders. So I have come to really love talking to Spanish speakers. Before I was always scared too. So on exchanges with Elder Clifford we were walking down the street and we saw this Hispanic guy outside on his porch. So we ran over to him and starting talking. It was really cool because I completely understood him and he completely understood me. And that never happens. I talked to him for good amount of time. Sadly he didn't live in Salina but it was still just an awesome experience. The Gift of Tongues is real! And the more we trust in the Lord and have faith the better it works.

So last pday was real fun. We went to this castle in Lindsborg. The castle is on top of this hill and you can see as far as the eye can see from any direction. It was so awesome! I took a ton of pics. We are actually going there again today!
