Week 93

Hey there Family!
My week has been good. But very busy. Wednesday we went to hays to help clean out an apartment and that took forever then we had exchanges with the elders in great bend in salina and we got back at like 5pm so we had no time. Then the next morning we had service for this older lady at 10am so we showed up and she wasnt there so we called her and she told us to come to her storage unit at 12 instead so that was annoying and then we went and we had to load up a whole U-haul truck and that took almost 3 hours. It was a ton of stuff and there was only 4 of us. Then we had to clean up the old sisters apartment in salina a couple hours after that so those whole 2 days were a lot of hard work and not a ton got done. It was crazy. Transfers are not this Wednesday but the next. Ill be staying in Salina because I doubt that they will white wash the salina zls twice in a row. ZL areas never get white washed. But Ill get a new companion. I dont have to pay for a phone but I have to buy a take home fee for my ipad. But Ill pay that with my debit card. Dang thats gonna be quite the birthday. Thats awesome that my bike got sold! Thanks! Its in good condition so Ill leave it for here and make sure she gets it. Love ya mom!

Hi Grace and Tommy! Its good to hear from you Ive missed you both so much! I love you both so much too! I hope tommy doesnt actually have wood in his armpit. If so hurry and get it out!

Week 92

Hey mom! 
This week was another busy one. And a hot one it was so hot and humid this week and it was in the 100s a couple of times. We had interviews this week and President McCuistion showed up late and so we had a ton of extra time after the APs gave their training so they had us give a training as well & we just made it up on the spot & it was probably the worst training ever. But everyone knew that it was on the spot so they had sympathy for us...I hope. We also had MLC this week it was a good time. But I got my bike fixed. I just had to buy a $20 part and now it’s good as new. Do you know if that person is going to buy it? I hope so. I got to jump on a trampoline today for the first time in like a year or maybe more. So it was fun. A member had us over for breakfast and they had a nice trampoline with a little basketball hoop to dunk on and so all is missionaries got on and had a party. It was fun but it was really hot. But that’s what’s been going on. We are going bowling here soon. So that’s the plan for today.
That’s awesome that Braxton came by and got a hair cut. Is he doing good? I should probably email him.

No rush on the contacts. I still have a pair I haven’t opened yet so I won’t need them for a month. I honestly just need a new pair to wear my last couple of weeks. So don’t worry about getting it to me soon.

Week 91

Hey!
This week was another crazy week. But it was good. We had Zone Conference and it was good but a little stressful because we had to do a lot for it. And the worst part was we had a zone break out (when just our zone gets together) and we had a little training & a meeting and then there was an area seventy at our zone conference (Elder Rawson) and he came and sat in on our meeting and so did President McCuistion. So it was a little intimidating hahaha. But it went well. We went to the castle today for pday it was fun I’ll send some pics.
I’m glad my letter got to you. I wasn’t sure if I did it right so I’m glad it got there. Yeah that tag I sent I have worn for like everyday of my mission till the day I sent that in the mail. But I got a new one now so I figured I’d send it to ya.
You or dad will have to take Blake around town and make him fill out applications like you did for me. So he will get a job quicker. That’s cool that the cronies won 7k and 1st place in the competition. That’s no good to hear about grandma joy. Hopefully she gets better. I’m am glad that grandpa is tan he wouldn’t be grandpa ace with out being the tannest man in Smithfield.
Hey quick question could you send me some contacts some time before I finish my mission? I have the pair I’m wearing and another pair but I’ll need just one more. Gracias!!
And I went to the bike shop and the guy told me that I just need to
buy a part that will be around $20 to fix it.

Week 90

Hey Mom! 
I hope you had a happy birthday!!! I'd say going to Star Wars would be a great way too spend it. I have a lot of Star Wars movies to watch when I get home now.

This week was crazy. We had so much to do. I literally blinked and the week was over. So I'm not too sure what even happened. But I'm liking Salina I have a way fun district and we have a good time together and the members are cool. We have been teaching the guy we met at Walmart his name is CJ. He came to church again this week he is progressing slowly but surely. Yeah I've seen many different members since I've been here that I have known before. Many didnt recognize me but many did. Its been fun. This week we had a zone blitz. All of the Salina zone came to Salina and we went on splits and worked for an hour and a half after we gave a training and it was really cool and fun (and I took pictures) so that was a good time. The next morning we had a zone breakfast and cooked some pancakes. It was fun. Tomorrow we have zone conference and president is having us do a ton of stuff for it and we havent planned it all out yet. oops. I guess I'll be up late tonight. 

I haven't figured out what I'm going to do about my bike yet. Next week I'll go to a bike shop and see how much it will cost to fix my bike and start off with that. My comp says that you can check your bike as an extra bag of luggage on the plane but you just need a bike box. Do you think that would be cheaper? That's just another idea.

Week 88

Hi Fam-
Elder Ortiz and I are both getting transferred. I’m going back to Salina and to be a ZL. It’s going to be interesting going back there. My companion is going to be Elder boyack he is cool. He goes home this transfer which means I’m going to end my mission in Salina more then likely. So that’s the news

Week 87

Hey there Mom!
Yeah there has been some tornado warnings but the two days of crazy weather was when we were in wichita so we missed it. It wasnt too bad apparently though in liberal. I was in Wichita for MLC and I had exchanges with the APs I was with Elder Crane. And it only rained just a little in wichita. But this week was good. Our recent convert Logan got the priesthood this sunday so that was cool. We are planning on going to the temple with him this Saturday but we need to find a ride for us and Logan and thats a lot to ask because we will be going to the Texas Lubbock temple and its 5 hrs away from liberal. So hopefully we find a ride so we can go. But yeah thats whats going on with me. Oh and I decided to make a healthy decision and to not drink anymore soda for the rest of my mission.
That’s too bad to hear about blakes last track meet. I guess thats
more reason for him to do it next year. But good job for him getting
his license. Too bad to hear about dad I will keep him in my prayers for sure. I haven’t heard from Bryson in a while. My allergies are doing good.

Hey so let’s figure out the Mother’s Day call. The earlier the better for me. Just let me know :)

Week 86

Hey mom!
My leg is perfectly fine now so that’s good. My week was good I went to Guymon Oklahoma for an exchange so I was out of Kansas for over 24hrs. Transfers are the Wednesday after Mother’s Day. I’ll probably find out about them before so I’ll probably know for out Skype call. Let me know what time works best for the Skype call. This week was good though we went to a taco bus the other day and had some super good tacos and I had some agua de piña (it’s like pineapple juice) but it’s freaking good! So that’s my new favorite agua fresca! Today for pday our whole zone is going to the park in liberal and we are going to play games and stuff. It will be fun.
