Week 56

Hey everyone!
So this week was really awesome and a lot happened I’ll share the most awesome milagro that I saw. So last Monday I found out that two of my investigators in my last area are going to be baptized on the 29th! (Joe and Ricardo) so thats super awesome! And Friday night a member had a bonfire and a little devotional. It was really fun. One of the coolest families from the Kellogg branch was there and it was fun to see them again. But the coolest thing about it is that Ricardo who is getting baptized this week came as well. It was so awesome to see him. This is how our conversation went:
Me- Ricardo that’s so awesome you are getting baptized this week! Are you excited?
Ricardo- yes I am, but guess who is going to baptize me?
Me- umm... elder Wagner?
Ricardo- nope. I’ll give you a hint. He is standing right in front of me.
I was the only one standing in front of him so it was an obvious hint that it was me. I am so happy that he wants me to baptize him! Ricardo is the coolest guy ever and he has already set a goal for going to the temple! So Friday was an awesome day. I’ll send pics of the baptisms next week. :)

One more milagro that I want to share is that we have an investigator named Lorenzo and he is awesome. He has lots of health problems mostly caused by his cancer he has and he is almost deaf. But he is the nicest guy ever and he wants to be baptized so that’s awesome. But we have been teaching him for a couple weeks now. His sister moved in with him to take care of him and when we came to see Lorenzo Saturday his sister was home and she came and talked with us. We ended up teaching her the whole restoration and she thought is was really cool. She said, “well I’m going to come to your church tomorrow and read the Book of Mormon and if I like the church and god wants me to be there then I will stay in your church.” They both came to church and liked it so that’s awesome!
So this week has been going great in the city of Wichita.

Week 54 West Wichita

Hey everyone!
This week was super awesome! So first off we had transfers so I had so say good bye to the good ole Kellogg branch. It was hard to say goodbye to the branch after getting to know them all so well.
But anyways now I'm on the westside of Wichita in the other Spanish branch. (Wichita only has two Spanish branches) So my new compañero Elder Riddle is cool. And we are reopening the area after it being closed for just a transfer. And so when we got to our area we didn't have a area book or anything so we just went to a random street and went door knocking. It was cool because almost everyone on the whole street spoke Spanish and Spanish only. So we found a ton of cool people. The next day we actually got our area book and it had absolutely nothing in it so we are starting completely fresh. It's hard but it's fun. But one of the coolest milagros that we saw this week was Saturday night. We went to go see a potential investigator we met earlier in the week. And in the driveway there was a man and we offered him a picture of Jesus Christ. As we talked to him we had a
powerful first contact in Spanish, we ended up teaching him the whole restoration and he loved and understood it. He said that he would get baptized if he came to know that our message is true. But there was a problem, he works out of town and is only home on the weekends. But since now we have Facebook we set that up with him and he is down to keep in contact with us throughout the week through Facebook! But he is pretty cool and he downloaded the Book of Mormon app and said he will listen to it as he works during the week too!

Week 53

Hey Everyone!
Transfers are this week and I'm getting transferred to the Wichita west Spanish branch(all the west side of Wichita) So that's fun. There are two Spanish branches in Wichita and so now I'll be able to serve in both! I'm going to know Wichita very well. My new companion is going to be  Elder Riddle he was companions with Elder Flores and Elder Colemere so we have some past companions in common!
We will be reopening the Elders area so that will be fun! It's going to be sad to leave because of how well I've got to know the members and the area in Kellogg but I'll just be on the other side of the river and both branches play soccer every Saturday morning so I'll still see some of them!
But anyways this week was good! We got Facebook this week so it's an awesome missionary tool to have. So that's what's going on with me!

Week 52 and a visit from Elder Oaks

So this week was good! Awesome actually because Elder Dallin H. Oaks came to visit the mission! The whole mission met in Wichita Saturday morning and we were able to meet and shake hands with Elder Oaks and Elder Natress of the seventy. And what an amazing experience that was! Not everyday do you meet an apostle of the Lord.
These past couple of weeks we have been learning about lots changes that are soon going to take place. First we are getting smartphones! We will be one of the 4 missions in the whole world with missionaries with smartphones so that's cool! And with that we are getting Facebook. So that's really cool. We don't know too much about it yet but what we do know is that we use our old Facebook accounts that we had back at home. So that will be weird using my Facebook that I haven't touched since I was 13.
Oh I also hit my year mark this week! And it's crazy to think it's already been a year. Time is going by way too fast!
But here are some pics!

Una semana llena de los milagros Week 51

Hey everyone!
This week was awesome and we saw so many miracles! I'll share just a few though. So this Sunday some boys we've been teaching finally came to church. They really want to be baptized but for the past month they have been bailing on coming to church because they were scared to come to a new church with new people. But they came and they loved it!
And their older brother who is a member was out of town and they still came! But teaching them is so fun they are the funniest little boys ever. They are on date for the 26th of August so hopefully that date doesn't get pushed back anymore :)
And another miracle was that Friday night we got a referral for a Henry man from some English missionaries. We came by Saturday night to see him and he is super elect! He recently moved here from El Salvador. We taught him la restauración and he loved it. He told us how he wants to change his life and was looking for someone to help him along his way. He came to church Sunday stayed all three hours and loved it! He wants to come to church again next Sunday. Oh he also wants to get baptized but he hasn't accepted a date yet but he will totally get baptized in the near future!
The sisters found an elect family of 9 this week. The mom is a less active member and 6 of the 7 kids are baptismal age. The whole family came to church so Sunday there was a just a ton of people at church and it was so awesome! The Lord has been blessing us tremendously and it is awesome! So this has been a great week!
